How we build,
and why.
How we build,
and why.
Four pieces, each chosen to do one thing exceptionally. Together they make up the architecture behind every site we ship.
Astro hits the sweet spot in modern web development. Its islands architecture means pages are static by default — fast, secure, minimal — with interactivity added only where needed. We're not forced to choose between performance and flexibility. Astro gives us both.
After more than two decades working with CMS platforms, Sanity is the one that gives us complete freedom to build each client's content system from scratch. We work content-first — modeling structure early, then building out to fit — which means the CMS serves the client's actual needs rather than constraining them. No matter the complexity, Sanity handles it.
Cloudflare is the infrastructure layer that makes our sites fast, secure, and resilient worldwide. We use Cloudflare Compute — Workers and Pages — for deployment and edge performance. Cloudflare Zero Trust handles security architecture and access control, eliminating entire categories of vulnerability before they can be exploited.
We're also proud participants in Project Galileo, Cloudflare's program protecting journalists, human rights organizations, and civil society groups from cyberattacks. It reflects the kind of work we believe the web should support.
For independent brands — particularly publishers — who need a genuine editorial presence alongside a reliable commerce layer, headless Shopify is the right architecture. Sanity handles the content and brand experience. Shopify handles checkout, payments, and fulfillment. Each does what it does best, and neither compromises the other.
